Extraordinary Enchantment at Scheveningen 2+

De Betovering is an extraordinary children's festival that takes place every year during the autumn holidays. There’s plenty to experience on the boulevard as well!

Be amazed on the boulevard by the Dutch premiere of the mysterious performance Wegwezen (HetPaleis) in a Theaterbus, or by the funny show Kontrol (Compagnie Krak) at the Palace Promenade. Create your own techno beat and enjoy a spectacular dance act (Fakir). All these activities are free to join!

In this interactive performance, we meet Professor Badurella. Her secret mobile lab has crashed—quick, come inside! No photos! No flash! Prof. Badurella urgently needs help to untangle a mystery: the mystery of a road creature, a being of the road.

Kontrol (Ages 6+) by Compagnie Krak at Palace Promenade
Fri 1 and Sat 2 November, at 12:00 and 14:00

Raphaël has been touring with his act “Teatro Pantalones” for years. He’s very particular about things going exactly the way he wants them to. A poetic clown performance, grand in its simplicity.

No reservation needed, just drop by, but make sure to come on time! Duration: 35 minutes

Techno Table (Ages 6+) by Cirq at Food Hall
Fri 1 and Sat 2 November, ongoing from 12:00 to 16:00

Now, everyone can make their own techno hit. In a kitchen straight out of 1989, you sit at a formica table. Grab the handheld vacuum cleaner to record samples, press the phone keys to pick the chords, and create your own beats! In this workshop, 1 or 2 groups of 5 people each will create a new-beat song. Songs can be downloaded or played afterward. No reservation needed, join anytime.

The Fakir Dance Act by Cirq at Food Hall
Sat 26, Sun 27 October at 12:30, 13:00, 13:30, 14:00, and 14:30

Johan brings a mix of pole dancing and fakir stunts, with beds of nails, real glass, and sharp knives. Johan the Pole Dance Man is no ordinary entertainer. When he’s not gracefully spinning around a pole, he’s lying with a smile on a bed of nails.
